Melvin Price


Mr. Marvin Price Dies in Monroe at Age of 68 Years

Mr. Marvin Price died suddenly in Monroe, July 2. He was born in LaSalle parish August 13, 1881 and was 68 years of age at the time of his death.
He had resided in Monroe for the past several years.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at Summerville, 4 p.m., July 3, with the Rev. Davis of Jena, and the Rev. Carrol of Olla in charge. Interment was in Summerville cemetery under the direction of Hixon Brothers Funeral of Jena.
Pallbearers were three nephews, Teddie, Woodrow and Jimmie Price, Elton Greer, Robert White and J. H. Butler.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. May Price; two sisters, Mrs Mary Driver, and Mrs. Sallie Hooteer of Midway, and three brothers, J. D. and J. F. of Summerville and J. R. of Chase, LA; five nieces, Opal White of Springhill, Clara Cupples of Marshal, Tex., Elaine Jansanne of Alexandria, Mildred Curse of Olla, and Maurice crooks of Chase; four nephews, Teddie and Woodrow of Baton Rouge and David and Jimmie of Neederland, Tex., six great-nephews and two great-nieces and a host of relatives and friends.
